Memorial Church for the construction of a school in Cameroon

On 20 February 2015, several Berlin gospel choirs promise a vocal night in the impressive setting of the Kaiser Wilhelm Memorial Church.

Under the title "Raising Voices for Rising Education," the Hope Foundation is once again organizing a gospel charity concert this year to raise funds for the construction of a school in Bertoua, in rural Cameroon.

Did you know that in Cameroon, not even every second child successfully completes primary school? Poor families, especially in rural areas, can not afford the school fee.

With the help of donations, the Hope Foundation was able to start building a school in eastern Cameroon within the framework of the "Rising Education" project last year. This school is designed not only to alleviate the lack of high-quality educational facilities but also to create the resulting school Social and economic problems, an ambitious project on which Berlin architectural students, the "Baupiloten" office office, and especially the local population, have been working actively with many other volunteers for almost two years.

The audience expects a unique blend of different Berlin gospel interpretations. Also included are established choirs such as Abraxas from Wilmersdorf, as well as new ensembles such as Just Faith, and WAYS - With All You rSenses from Hansaviertel. The Hope Foundation is also looking forward to the participation of the Berlin Soulchor and the Lichtenrader Gospelchor. Last year's viewers certainly remember the Unity Gospel Choir, which we will be able to welcome again this year.
